Everyone has come together to help create a system of teaching and technology that will not act as a crutch or of limited assistance, but as a tool of empowerment with an end goal of helping users reach their full potential. It is much more than about what the app does but what it gives.
Who Are We ?
Autism Avenue (also known as Autism2Ability) is a nonprofit organization, based in Mobile, Alabama, composed of special-needs teachers, small-business owners, and parents of children with autism. We are on a mission to develop and administer programs for families with special needs children, and to promote awareness of autism.
We seek to eliminate barriers so young people with special needs can achieve success. We are mindful as parents brace themselves for the challenges, recognize the differences, celebrate the uniqueness, recognize the possibilities, and savor the wins that comprise the harmonious complexity of the family.
We are wholeheartedly working for the betterment of others and continue to do so, but never at a burdensome cost to those we are trying to help. While we are a Not for Profit organization many of the companies we must work with to build tools like TALK app are for profit. To help ensure TALK can reach and help many, the app was priced at well below that of leading competitors offering similar applications.
